According to wikipedia, the definition of lifestyle photography is a style of portrait/people

photography which aims to capture and document real-life events, situations,

or milestones in an artistic manner and the art of everyday.

The goal is not to recreate life events or stage lifestyle images but to document life as it happens. This goes beyond capturing emotion. Lifestyle is not staged! Let's get together to find out what makes your family tick. I want to know the personalities of your children. What they listen to and what shows they watch. I want to learn about your family. I will be in your home (or a location of your choosing) to document you as a family. Just be a family. I want to be there to capture your family as your life is lived.
